Rogue Hall pulled away from the field in deep stretch and captured the $92,500 (C) final of the Mohawk Pacing Series Friday night (May 7).

Paul Macdonell was in the bike at Rogue Hall sat third as Big League Barry (Mario Ballargeon) cut fractions of :27, :56.3 and 1:25.2. But by the three quarters Rogue Hall had moved into contention first-over, just a length off the leader. Rogue Hall then sprinted to the wire with a :27.2 last panel, sweeping past a quickly fading Big League Barry and crossing the finish line with a lifetime best performance of 1:53. Ponder (Steve Condren) rallied late to finish second, 2 1/4 lengths behind the winner. Dream Possession (Luc Ouellette) was third.

For Rogue Hall it was his fourth straight victory of the season in as many starts. He raced in only last week's leg of the Mohawk Pacing Series and won in 1:55.3. The 3-year-old son of Cambest, who is owned by Robert Grand Holdings and Glenview Livestock and trained by Rene Laarman, did not race last year.
