Rubber Duck wins at Pocono for Jenn Bongiorno

Rubber Duck, who has done his best racing on the front end in recent starts, worked out a pocket trip on a 34-degree night and came on to get a half-length decision over tough pacesetter Classicality while taking Sunday’s $25,000 winners-over handicap trot in 1:53.2 Sunday night at The Downs at Mohegan Sun Pocono.
Jim Marohn Jr. sat with the Muscle Mass ridgling behind favored Classicality as that one set fractions of 27.1, 56.1, and 1:25.2, then gained into the 28 last quarter to get his third straight victory for trainer Jennifer Bongiorno and owners Blair and Ema Corbeil, who saw their talented trotter cross the $400,000 mark in his last start, and now has a bankroll of $413,301.
