Rusty Tank, with Mike Simons in the sulky, came from off the pace to win the featured race of the 16-race card Wednesday night at Mohegan Sun at Pocono Downs.

The win was in the $20,000 claiming pace for horses, colts and geldings with a special distance of a mile and a quarter. Time for the race was 2:24.1.

Rusty Tank, trained by Jake Huff, was racing for the first time for the trainer after being claimed for $15,000 September 1 at the Northeastern Pennsylvania racetrack by Rosalia Huff of Coconut Creek, FL, and Vincenzo Villante of Margate, FL.

This was the fourth win in 18 starts this season for the five-year-old Dragon Again gelding.

Saul Needle, director of racing at Mohegan Sun at Pocono Downs, likes to card the mile and a quarter tests for pacers and trotters so the fans get a first-hand look at the start of the race.
Horses in these races start at the finish line and make two complete circles around the five-eighths mile oval.

Through the first 10 races, Eric Goodell, Jim Pantaleano and Joe Pavia Jr. had collected driving doubles. (Pocono Downs)
