The New Jersey Racing Commission has indefinitely suspended trainer Seldon Ledford following the raid on his barn at Showplace Farms in New Jersey last Friday that resulted in his son, Eric, and three others being arrested.

Racing Commission executive director Frank Zanzuccki ruled that "…as a result of the investigative action taken New Jersey State Police on March 31, 2006, and based on the emergent circumstances present, the Commission ordered, effective March 31, that trainer Seldon Ledford is declared ineligible to participate in racing, and all horses under his care are ineligible to compete in New Jersey pending a hearing before the Board of Judges.\" A hearing is in the process of being scheduled.

The commission also posted an identical ruling against assistant trainer Ryan Dailey. Eric Ledford has also been suspended pending a hearing before the Board of Judges.
