George Leager’s Slick Tony ($3.20, Montrell Teague) equaled the track record for 3-year-old pacing colts at Harrington Raceway on Monday with a 1:51.4 triumph in an $11,000 Open II event.
The No Spin Zone-Queen Kathy colt set all the fractions and was an easy winner over Dialamara and Q’s Cruise in achieving his 16th career win in 22 starts. Slick Tony, also trained by Leager, tied the record set by Bags To Riches in 2017, and has now banked more than $335,000 in his career.
Later on the card, Slick Tony’s half-brother, 2-year-old Son of A Lynx won his second straight race in 1:57.1. The son of Southwind Lynx is also owned and trained by Leager.
Teague and Russell Foster each had three wins on the program. (Harrington)
