December 29, 2005

Jeff Snyder is now a two-time winner of the U.S. Harness Writers Association's Owner of the Year Award, and he expressed some surprise at winning the title for 2005.

"Wow, that's great," Snyder told harnessracing.com Horseman via cell phone from Miami Beach where he was on vacation with his family. "As for the highlights, there were three: the North America Cup, the Meadowlands Pace and the Breeders Crown (all with Rocknroll Hanover). But the Adios was right up there (with Village Jolt); it was quite a thrill for me."

Snyder previously won the Owner of the Year Award in 1994 after watching his Cam's Card Shark dominate the action on the racetrack.

"I would say 1994 was the first big year I had with Cam's Card Shark, but this year ranks right up there," said Snyder. "This is great and I really appreciate it. It's really good news. Do I get a trophy too?"
