Tuesdays With Mom and Munis Blue Chip trotted to track-record 1:57.3 victories in two of the four $37,180 New York Sire Stakes divisions for 3-year-old filly trotters Friday night at Batavia Downs, with Frosty Flirt and Sheezacredit capturing the other splits in 2:00.1 and 2:00.2, respectively.
Tuesdays With Mom led gate to wire for driver Jack Flanigen and breeder-owner-trainer Peter Arrigenna to score for the fifth time in eight starts this year. The daughter of Credit Winner has three second-place finishes in her other outings.
Jim Morrill Jr. was in the sulky behind Munis Blue Chip as the daughter of Credit Winner notched her fifth straight victory. She is owned by trainer Ray Schnittker, Steve Arnold, Jerry Silva and Blue Chip Bloodstock.
Morrill also directed Frosty Flirt to the winner's circle. The daughter of Plesac is owned and trained by Tracy Brainard.
Sheezacredit is a daughter of Credit Winner out of the Indiana star trotting mare Sheezhomewardbound, a winner of more than $573,000 on the racetrack while dominating her peers in the Hoosier State. Sheezacredit, sent off at odds of 6-1, edged the 44-1 longshot Jetties by a half length. Sam Schillaci drove for trainer John Stark Jr., who shares ownership with Edmund Smith, David Smith and Kellog Racing Stable.
In that race, the odds-on choice Show Your Lindys took herself out of contention when she made a break near the three quarters.
