Hambletonian Oaks champion Southwind Allaire picked up her fifth victory in 10 starts this season with a 1:56.3 score in a $122,853(C) division of a Simcoe Stakes at Mohawk Thursday night (Sept. 4).

Driven by Chris Christoforou, Southwind Allaire used a second-over trip to launch her bid for a victory. Yankee Persuasion, a daughter of Mr. Vic, was second.

In the second $122,853 split, EZ Past, a Lindy Lane filly trained and co-owned by Per Henriksen, overtook the pacesetting For The Luva Moni in the stretch for a 1:57 victory. For The Luva Moni, a winner of five of eight starts going into the race, was used hard to take control of the race in the first quarter after starting from post nine. She held on for second.
