Spring Break enjoyed a comfortable pocket trip, then charged through the Lightning Lane to capture her second straight — and vault over $700,000 in career earnings — in Wednesday’s $22,500 Filly & Mare Preferred Not Listed/Preferred Handicap Pace at The Meadows.

With Lorrie Please providing escort service, Spring Break paced patiently until the stretch, where she brushed for Ray Paver and scored in 1:52.3. Palazzo Princess rallied from far back for second, 3/4 lengths in arrears, while Tremor Hanover raced well first over for show.

Randy Bendis trains Spring Break, a 7-year-old daughter of Dream Away-Siobhan whose lifetime bankroll now stands at $700,746, for Joann and Joe Thomson.

Tony Hall and Dick Stillings each drove three winners on the 14-race card. Throughout July, the Meadows is offering $5,000-guaranteed pools for Monday and Tuesday Pick 4 wagers. (The Meadows)
