Stallions from other states now Cal eligible

With recent legislative bill AB 1796 passed, the California Standardbred Sires Stakes committee has approved pacing stallion owners from Michigan, Minnesota, Iowa, Wisconsin, Maine and the province of Alberta, Canada, to register their stallions to the program, beginning with the 2017 breeding season.

To be eligible for the 2017 breeding season, pacing stallions must be nominated to the California Sires Stakes program by the extended date of April 1.
