Stroke Play, a filly by the sire Yankee Glide, set a world record for a 3-year-old filly trotters over a five-eighths mile track when she won a Matron elim at Dover Downs Wednesday (Nov. 5).



Brian Sears drove Stroke Play to the upset victory over Hambletonian Oaks champ Southwind Allaire. Trond Smedshammer trains the winner for Norwegian businessman Jorgen Jahre Jr.



Two other elims went to Lexus Hall in 1:57.1 and Armbro Affair in 1:55.1. Lexus Hall edged the pacesetting Sunday Yankee at the wire while Armbro Affair held off the late rush of Filly At Bigs.
