Stucklikeglue, one of just two fillies in a full field of fillies and mares open pacers at Dayton Raceway on Friday night, used a strong stretch drive to prevail over her older counterparts in 1:52.4.
A recent purchase out of the Ron Burke consignment at the Harrisburg sale by Parent Racing Stable, Stucklikeglue has now won twice in addition to a place and show finish in five starts since moving to the Doug Hinklin Stable in Ohio.
The sophomore daughter of Dragon Again got a second-over trip from driver Greg Grismore through fractions of :27.1, :55.4 and 1:24.1, then swung three wide at the head of the stretch and zoomed past Sectionline Yankee (Dan Noble), who was last week's winner in the weekly $10,000 featured event, and pacesetter Holiday Shopper (Kayne Kauffman) who garnered the show dough.
It was the seventh seasonal triumph for Stucklikeglue, who has now earned $87,793 in 2014 and $145,445 in her first two seasons. (Hollywood Dayton)
