Summer In Fiji showed that she\'s fine with spring in Meadow Lands, swooping the field with a huge uncovered move that carried her to an easy victory in the $15,000 Filly & Mare Not Listed Preferred Pace Friday at The Meadows.

On a sloppy track that proved tiring to the front end, Luvtochangetheworld went to the lead in a contested :26.4. That was all the help Summer In Fiji and Dave Palone needed. At the half, they were sixth, 5 1/2 lengths behind; a quarter mile later, they were ahead by two lengths.

Summer In Fiji scored in 1:54, 3 1/4 lengths better than Bottom Dealer. The 3-5 favorite, Don\'t Blame Her, was pinned behind the weary leader and came on late for third.
