Tioga hosts NY State Fair Stakes Monday

Tioga Downs will host a special racing program on Monday (May 28-Memorial Day) at 1:30 p.m. featuring 13 divisions of New York State Fair Stakes. Seven divisions for 3-year-old colt and gelding pacers will be contested, while there will be six divisions for 3-year-old pacing fillies.
Leading the way for the State Fair Stakes for the fillies is Jamie Sue, from the Mark Ford Stable. The daughter of Art Major-Road To Pandalay has already posted a New York Sire Stakes victory this season when she dead heated with Brownsville Bomber at Vernon Downs last weekend. She will go to the post in the first division for fillies on Monday afternoon sporting a record of five wins and four seconds in 11 seasonal outings, good for earnings of more than $80,000.
Leading the way for the colts is Domethatagain from the Erv Miller Stable. The son of Bettor's Delight-Road Sign has already posted two second-place finishes in Sire Stakes action, but will look for his second win in his fifth seasonal start on Monday in race number seven.
The New York State Fair Stakes will be part of the Excelsior Series this year in New York, and points will be awarded in the State Fair stakes for the Excelsior Series. (Tioga Downs)
