Top pacing mare C'mon Ashley dies at 34

World champion pacing mare C'mon Ashley p,1:53.2f ($512,096) died Oct. 30, 2017 at Marty Wollam's farm in Vienna, Ohio. She was 34 years old and had been living out her life at the farm since she was given to Wollam by Hickory Lane Farm when her breeding career was over.
The daughter of Flight Director-Joey Woe raced from 1985-1990 and won 51 times in 128 lifetime starts. She was bred by Mike Angel and Sol Norflus and owned by the duofor the first three seasons of her racing career. Norflus was the sole owner for her final three campaigns. Marty Wollam was her trainer/driver.
As a broodmare, C'mon Ashley had 14 foals, nine of which took race marks. Her best three were the Nobleland Sam full brothers C'mon Tuff Guy ($575,667), C'mon C'mon C'mon ($473,797) and C'mon Forty-Niner ($262,372). (USTA)
