To Dream On kept her perfect streak intact Saturday, winning the $354,450 Merrie Annabelle in a stakes and track record time of 1:54. Sent off at 1-5 odds, the Credit Winner filly stormed down the lane to overtake leader Royal Assets for driver David Miller. Raring To Go S and Yannick Gingras were third.
Entering the final three-for-three for her connections, To Dream On and Miller were unhurried early as a group of five fillies raced into the first turn. Royal Assets would take command of the group through a :56.3 opening half, with Tim Tetrick steering the field through three quarters (1:25.3) with the favorite still lengths off the lead.
Third over racing into the turn, To Dream On closed the gap with every stride, reeling in the leader and winning by a length at the wire. The filly is trained by Jimmy Takter for Marvin Katz and Al Libfeld.
"I know the speed this filly has, it’s tremendous,” Takter offered. "She showed that she’s a real special horse.”
Now four-for-four, To Dream On added $177,225 to her bankroll, which now stands at $206,332.
