Tricky Nick, Honey B take Miami Valley series legs

Honey B, a 4-year-old Victory Sam mare, continued her impressive 2016 campaign with a winning 1:54.1 performance, lowering the track record for mares her age by two seconds. Already the winner of the Ray Paver Sr. Memorial trotting series earlier this month, Honey B will be trying to add a second 'Legends' Series late-closer championship to her growing resume next week. Kyle Ater drove the Dan Ater-trained mare to the score over favored Infinity AS (Chris Page) and Numbers Game (Hunter Myers). She is owned by Jim Burnett and Tim Homan of Ohio.
The top three finishers from each of Tuesday's races will be joined by other top series earners Rose Run Quasar, Cherryhill Chip and Without Me AS when the nine finalists line up for the $25,000 championship tilt April 26. (Miami Valley)
