Dismissed at 10-1, Trustworthy Kid rallied three wide around the final turn and went on to capture Friday’s $18,000 Winners Over $10,000 Life/Preferred Handicap Trot at The Meadows.

Trustworthy Kid got away at the back of the back and, when third over, appeared to have excess cover. But when Brian Zendt tipped him three wide, he roared through a stretch rendered "good” by persistent snow squalls and scored in 1:56.4. Rompaway Galaxy was second, a length back, with Keystone Chester third.
