Two-day art auction

Harness Tracks of America has announced that its 27th annual art auction will take place as a two-day event in Lexington, Ky. The first session will take place at the Tattersalls sales arena on Saturday morning, Oct. 9, Kentucky Futurity Day at The Red Mile. The second will follow a day later, with Keeneland racing that afternoon.

All of the art work will be on display in The Red Mile grandstand for one week, starting Monday, Oct. 4.

Private collections are included in the auction and will include some 50 Currier & Ives 19th century trotting lithographs, original oils by George Ford Morris, publishers' proofs of the work of noted illustrator C.W. Anderson, and Thoroughbred prints by the famous artist Richard Stone Reeves.
