Although Uncle Peter had the lead heading into the stretch, the 5-year-old trotter faded and finished fifth in Sunday afternoon's Copenhagen Cup at Charlottenlound Racetrack in Denmark.
With Johnny Takter subbing in the sulky for an injured David Miller, Uncle Peter moved to the front of the 1 1/4-mile race shortly past the opening half-mile. The Bjorn Goop-driven Caballian moved up on the outside to challenge and turning into the stretch took over the lead.
Caballian then began to get rough gaited but Goop was able to keep his charge on gait. Caballian went on to win the Cup in a mile rate of 1:55.4. Orali, representing his home country, closed late to finish second for driver Jeppe Juell. Uncle Peter finished approximately three lengths behind in fifth.
