Updated: Hurricane Sandy prompts cancellations

Hurricane Sandy's churn up the East Coast has prompted the cancellation of racing and simulcasting at several racetracks. As of 4:30 p.m. on Monday, here is the list:
 
The Meadows: Live racing is canceled on Tuesday.
 
Vernon Downs: Simulcasting is closed on Monday and Tuesday; scheduled to resume on Wednesday.
 
Yonkers Raceway: Live racing and simulcasting is canceled on Monday and Tuesday; live racing is scheduled to resume on Thursday. With the race office closed on Monday, the draw schedule will be altered. As of now, a double draw for Friday and Saturday, Nov. 2-3, is scheduled for Tuesday, with the entry box for both days closing at 4 p.m. For more information, please contact the race office at (914) 457-2627.
 
Monticello Raceway: Live racing is canceled on Monday and Tuesday; live racing is scheduled to resume on Wednesday.
 
Harrington Raceway: Live racing is canceled on Monday. The Delaware Standardbred Breeders Fund events will now be contested on Wednesday night (Oct. 31).
 
Meadowlands/Winners Bayonne OTB: Both facilities are closed on Monday and Tuesday.
 
Mohegan Sun at Pocono Downs: Live racing is canceled on Tuesday.
 
Rosecroft Raceway: Live racing is canceled on Tuesday, with the card now carried over in its entirety to Saturday, Nov. 3, at 7:25 p.m. Scratch time is Thursday, Nov. 1, at 10 a.m. The races on the condition sheet sheet for Nov. 3 will now be moved to Tuesday, Nov. 6, with the draw on Thursday, Nov. 1, between 12 noon and 3 p.m. Also, simulcasting has been canceled on Monday and Tuesday.
 
Also, Monday morning's qualifiers at Mohawk Racetrack have been canceled.  The next qualifiers are scheduled for Friday, Nov. 2, at 10 a.m.
