Propulsion, a 6-year-old stallion by Muscle Hill-Danae, bred by Rikki Caldwell of Cane Run Farm and Bluestone Farms, set a Swedish record of 1:49.3 when he won the Hugo Aberg Memorial on Tuesday night at the five-eighths mile Jagersro track in Malmo, Sweden. Daniel Reden trains Propulsion for Bengt Agerup's Stall Zet.

The race got underway with the Jerry Riordan-trained Twister Bi taking control of the race, which left the Lufti Kolgjini-driven Dante Boko first-over. Orjan Kihlstrom took the cover with Propulsion as Twister Bi set a quick pace. Eventually Propulsion challenged Twister Bi and then passed that rival before having to hold off another Riordan charge, Ringostarr Treb, who got up for second with Twister Bi holding on for third.

The victory was the second straight in the Aberg for Propulsion, who now has three wins and four seconds this season. Propulsion's younger sister, the 3-year-old filly Dream Together, was entered in the Oaks by owner Determination and trainer Luc Blais.

The world record for an older stallion trotter is 1:49, which was set by Sebastian K at Pocono.
