Victory Tilly, who set a world record at the Meadowlands when he won the 2002 edition of the Nat Ray Trot in 1:50.4, could possibly return to compete in the race this summer.

Last year after the Elitlopp Victory Tilly suffered a suspensory injury which could have ended his career. But he has returned to the track and made two starts, with his third outing set for Saturday at the Ostersund track in Sweden.

Victory Tilly's trainer, Stig H. Johansson, has indicated that if Victory Tilly wins and shows improvement, he may seriously consider bringing him to the U.S. for the Nat Ray, which is a $300,000 invitational event this year for the first time.

Victory Tilly won his first start this year and then finished second, beaten by Malabar Circle AS.
