Sweden\'s Kanal 75/ATG has reported that world record holder Victory Tilly has been retired. The 11-year-old gelding suffered another injury and it was decided he should be retired. Victory Tilly set a world record of 1:50.4 in the Nat Ray Trot on Aug. 3, 2002, at the Meadowlands.

Trained and driven by Stig H. Johansson, Victory Tilly won 70 races in 101 starts from ages three to 11.

Victory Tilly has been owned by Stall Kalas since he was a 4 year old. His career has lived up to his owner\'s name, which means \"A great party\" in Swedish. They have indeed enjoyed owning one of the greatest horses in Swedish history.

He won almost every major stake/race for his generation from 4 and up, including the Oslo Grand Prix , the Elitlopp, and Italy\'s Prize of Nations and Gran Premio Lotteria.
