Kovach Stables, George Teague and Ted Gewertz’s Windfall Blue Chip ($2.80, Montrell Teague) equaled the track record for 3-year-old pacing colts Monday with a 1:52.2 triumph in a $10,500 conditioned race at Harrington Raceway.
The Art Major colt quarter-pole moved to the front from Worthys Magic and never looked back in his four-length triumph. The sophomore colt is also trained by co-owner Teague.
In the $20,000 featured Open Pace, the Roger Plante-trained and driven Harlingen Hanover ($16.40) was a front-stepping winner in 1:53.1 for owner James Behrendt. The 4-year-old Badlands Hanover gelding pushed his seasonal earnings over $100,000.
Driver Tony Morgan had four winners on the program. (Harrington)
