Winwood Mac (Chris Page) flew through the stretch to capture the Saturday (Dec. 1) Open I Pace at Hollywood Dayton Raceway, passing pacesetter and place finisher Night Pro (Dale Decker) and show finisher My Hero Ron (Tyler Smith) in the final strides. It was the sixth triumph in 2018 for the 6-year-old son of Canyon Wind, raising his seasonal earnings to $92,543 earning half of the $18,000 purse.

Speedy Winwood Mac, who has now won three of his six 2018 wins in recent months at the Hollywood Dayton meet, tacked on a :27.2 last quarter to sweep past his adversaries in the weekly feature race.
It was the third consecutive runnerup finish for 8-year-old Night Pro, who is approaching $1 million in earnings and is soon to commence a second career in the breeding shed. For My Hero Ron, it was his second straight show finish as the 6-year-old nears completion of his second straight $100,000-plus season.
