By a vote of 6-2, the Kentucky Equine Drug Research Council approved a recommendation on Monday morning (Nov. 25) to eliminate the use of furosemide (Lasix) in 2 year olds on race day beginning in 2020, and in 2021 to also ban furosemide in all stakes races conducted in the state.
