Chester Short, father of Gil Short, dies

Chester Short, 94, died Friday (April 13). Mr. Short was employed for 18 years by his son, Gil, at Spring Garden Ranch in Florida. He was best known for shipping and helping take care of Steinam, the 1985 divisional champion as the sport's top 3-year-old pacing filly.
