Charlie Bowen dies at age 84

Charlie Bowen, for many years the Director of Sponsorships at The Red Mile and before that in a similar role for the Little Brown Jug, died Tuesday morning at an Indiana care center. He was 84. Bowen had been in declining  health and had missed his first Lexington meet last fall. Bowen's wife, Lee, predeceased him.   Funeral arrangements are not yet available.
