Penn National buys Rosecroft; plans to reopen track

Penn National Gaming, which owns Raceway Park in Ohio, Bangor Raceway in Maine, part of Freehold Raceway, and Thoroughbred tracks in Maryland, Pennsylvania, West Virginia, purchased Rosecroft Raceway on Friday in a bankruptcy auction, agreeing to pay $10.25 million in cash for the racetrack.
