A tight economy and the addition of 59  more horses seemed to set the stage for a drop in the average price for the yearlings sold at the 2010 New Jersey Classic Yearling Sale, held Sunday, Sept. 12, at the Horse Park of New Jersey. Average climbs 6.4% at Canadian Open

The Ontario yearling market is alive and well, as the results of the Canadian Open show. The two-day sale, conducted Sept. 11 and 12, concluded with an average price of $16,160, a 6.4 percent increase over last year's average of $15,191.
