Horseman Troy Sylvester, 45, the son of Hall of Famer Chuck Sylvester, died Saturday afternoon in a New Jersey hospital from injuries sustained in an ATV accident at Magical Acres Farm on Wednesday. Troy had worked with his father for many years. The announcement of his passing was made on the Meadowlands public address system shortly before the last race on the Hambletonian Day card.
