The Delaware Harness Racing Commission (DHRC) has referred the subject of testing for steroids in Standardbred race horses to the DHRC Rules Committee, with the recommendation that the DHRC rules be amended to require testing for steroids in standardbred race horses effective as of April 1, 2009. A poll conducted by the Washington Post says that 62 percent of likely voters are in favor of passing the slots referendum that will be on the Nov. 4 ballot in Maryland.
