Tioga raising purses 20% across the board

The Tioga Downs race office has announced a 20 percent across-the-board purse increase, applied retroactively to races from Friday, Aug. 19, and effective through the end of the current meet (Saturday, Sept. 17).   Top-level Open purses increase from $11,000 to $13,000, maiden purses have been bumped up from $4,000 to $4,800, and similar increases occur across all classes.
