Martin Scharf presented the seventh annual Gallo Blue Chip Scholarships, named in honor of his great pacer, to Kayla Prentice and Michelle Galligan on Saturday night at the Meadowlands Racetrack. Monticello Raceway and Freehold Raceway have canceled their Friday race cards due to the snowstorm and bitter cold temperatures on the East Coast.   Live racing at Freehold is scheduled to resume Saturday at 12:30 p.m. Monticello will resume live racing on Monday, Jan. 6, with a first-race post time of 12:25 p.m.
