Del S. Miller breaks hip in training spill

Trainer Del S. Miller suffered a broken hip in a training mishap before Friday's card at The Meadows and will undergo surgery Monday for insertion of a metal rod.   Driver Brett Miller, Del's son, indicated the accident occurred on the auxiliary training track when a horse the elder Miller was jogging "got spooked,” veered from the track and dumped him from the cart.   ...
